Evercade announces The Last Ninja & IK Collection and James Pond Collection: 18 classics on two new carts
Two new Evercade cartridges: fourteen System 3 versions (The Last Ninja, International Karate, IK+) and all four 16-bit James Pond games. Pre-orders are open now for December 4th.
Evercade has confirmed its next two physical cartridges, and this time it's a double dose of 80s and 90s nostalgia: The Last Ninja and IK Collection (cart #12) and James Pond Collection (cart #54). Both land on 4 December 2026 and are already up for pre-order.
The Last Ninja and IK Collection: 14 System 3 versions
The first cartridge packs in no fewer than 14 games, with multiple versions of two of System 3's best-loved home computer series from the 80s:
- The Last Ninja (8-bit)
- Last Ninja 2: Back with a Vengeance (ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Atari ST)
- Last Ninja 3 (Commodore 64 and Atari ST)
- Ninja Remix (Commodore 64 and Atari ST)
- International Karate (ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Atari ST)
- IK+ (ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Atari ST)
In other words, practically the entire home computer catalogue of both martial arts series packed into a single cartridge: from the Spectrum to the Atari ST, by way of the C64.
James Pond Collection: the full 16-bit saga
The second cartridge brings together the four classic entries of 16-bit gaming's most famous aquatic agent:
- James Pond: Underwater Agent
- James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod
- James Pond 3: Operation StarFI5H
- The Aquatic Games Starring James Pond and the Aquabats!
Three platformers and a multiplayer sports spin-off, all in their original 16-bit versions.
Price and availability
Both cartridges start at £24.99 (around €29.99 at European retailers) and are already available for pre-order ahead of 4 December. We'll add direct purchase links to this article as soon as we have them.
